This is a follow up on my last post, Zero to 320 Organic Keywords In Less Than Two Months

And, it’s good news! The client I made that website for has done an incredible job growing it, and managed to get to a whooping $1038.5 in revenue in the last 30 days!
Here are the Analytics and Amazon screenshots:

The site is also doing very well according to Ahrefs, in SERPs for a whooping 3.7k organic keywords, and growing:

What was done
Since my last post, when the site had 84,000 words of content, the client purchased another two batches of content, so the site currently has around 130,000 words of content total.
- They went heavy on interlinking, going for 5+ relevant internal links on each and every post.
- They bought $800 worth of links, mostly niche edits and forum/Q&A site links.
- They went and refreshed some of the initial content that was bringing in the most traffic.
I wish I could say there was some secret sauce to it all, but there really isn’t. It was a brand new domain name, and going for a lower competition niche with plenty of keywords to target and putting lots of content up along the way, with a good deal of interlinking is what did it. Luckily though, this site is in the Kitchen niche so it didn’t get affected by the recent Amazon commission cut, but even if it was, it would be making close to $400 per month, which isn’t bad at all for a 5-month old website finished around the end of December.
Costs so far:
- $3500 for the niche website and keywords/content
- $800 worth of links
= $4300
…with $1200 in revenue. Technically, the site is still in the red, but assuming it keeps growing the way it has been and gets at least to a steady $1500 per month six months from now, it will be worth just about $40,000. Not a bad return on investment, if you ask me. Even by just keeping at $1000/month over the next three months, this site could be flipped for $20,000+ easily.
That’s it folks. Affiliate marketing isn’t all that hard when you take it seriously.
November 2020 update
It’s been a few months since I last wrote about this site. I had a chat with the client and they haven’t done anything new since, but the site was still on an upwards trend nonetheless, except for the small Ahrefs dip which is normal.
This is now effectively a $1400/month site, even though it’s been sitting on touched for a few months now, which isn’t optimal. Here are the traffic and earnings stats:

Nice case study Aleks 🙂
Why don’t you start a journey revolving around Auction/Expired Domains + Amazon Affiliates ?
The audience here would love to see how you build up sites.
Hey Yaseen,
I’m actually starting to change my mind when it comes to auction domains, since even some very good ones seem to be negatively affected by Google disproportionately these days, compared even to sites that are just using lower quality links.
After seeing the results with this website, I think that minimum link building along with massive amounts of content and interlinking is the way to go, and with a significantly lower investment compared to buying an auction domain for a few thousand.
